We are a project oriented music production / recording facility with a modest footprint and a very big musical world view. "Ikhaya" means "home" in the Zulu language and we consider ourselves a creative "home" with a particular sensibility for musics from all over the world, both traditional and contemporary, that transcend (but not exclude) the boundaries of western "pop" culture. We believe that our range of experience technically, musically and cross-culturally enables us to maintain an atmosphere in which any artist regardless of their particular genre or culture, can comfortably control and exercise their full creative potential and realize their artistic goals. The combined elements of up-to-date recording / editing technology for optimal audio quality, a comfortable workspace, a belief in collaborative cooperation, cross-cultural sensibilities and a lot of "heart, soul and spirit", all give Ikhaya Studios its unique creative vibe in which to produce your musical project.
